The Digital Financial Skills Accelerator (DFSA) Participant badge in partnership with the Business Career Hub at Toronto Metropolitan University, CIBC, and Microsoft Canada is awarded to DFSA participants who completed all core milestones in the program. This includes earning Microsoft certification(s) and completion of a team case competition presented by CIBC.
Participants were placed in streams (either: Cloud/Data/AI, Cybersecurity, or User Experience, Accessibility) and completed one or more of the following certifications and program milestones:
- Earned one or more of the following: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and/or Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900), Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
- The importance of networking through weekly drop-in sessions with CIBC representatives
- Opportunity to get insight on a variety of talent positions available at CIBC
- Participated in a team case competition consisting of real life application related to Financial Services within the banking industry
- Understanding how to effectively communicate and work with team members in order to complete the assigned case
- Using key concepts obtained from the exams, advice from CIBC representatives, certification content and applying it to the case
- Finalists participate in mock presentations with CIBC representatives for critical feedback to improve their delivery for the official championship round presentation at CIBC Square
