WITM - Breaking Stereotypes in Business Technology Management (BSBTM) 3rd Place Badge

This badge is awarded to the third place winners of the sixth-annual Breaking Stereotypes in Business Technology Management (BSBTM) Case Competition hosted by Women in Information Technology Management (WITM)! BSBTM is a multi-institutional business case competition designed for students to apply their critical thinking and problem solving skills to address the issue of gender inequality in the IT/corporate field, and present their ideas to industry professionals. Students from various backgrounds showcased their skills to a panel of industry professionals from companies such as Bell Media, Red Hat, Ceridian, Environics Analytics, and more! Out of all teams that had participated, this recipient was chosen to secure a winning position with their team by the Special Judge and 10 fellow judges. The Special Judge, Luc Villeneuve, is the current President of Benchmark Corp. The provided case revolved around his work to promote diversity and inclusion at Red Hat (a multinational software company that was acquired by IBM), while he was their Canadian Country Leader. Being selected as a winner by him and the fellow judges is commendable, so WITM is proud to acknowledge their achievement through this badge!
